Decadent Lasagna!
Review:
On February 26th, I stopped by La Pergola on the up and coming Via Alberto Cadlolo street for a plate of decadent lasagna. It was around 7:30pm, and I had hoped I'd missed the dinner crowd, but it was still overflowing with people! The wait was about an hour. I had heard the place could get busy, but this was insane…
After the long wait, I was seated, and I ordered a plate of decadent delicious lasagna. When I was served my food, I had high expectations, because I heard good things from other friends who ate there. The first thing I noticed was that it was moist and flavorful. I'm really glad the sauce was savory and the spices were diced- that’s just how I like it! The extra sprinkle of cheese made it even more appealing! Overall, my experience with La Pergola was positive. It was decadent and delicious. Within minutes of eating my meal, I was glad I tried it. The sauce though could have been a little less salty, but maybe it was a cooker problem. I will definitely eat the decadent lasagna again- but I would love to try other things on the menu. Decadent Lasagna Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 lb Ground Beef - 28 oz jar of Pizza Sauce - 1 pkg Lasagna Noodles - 4 cups Ricotta Cheese - 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella - 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan - 2 Eggs - 1 tbs Parsley - 1 tsp Salt 1/4 tsp Pepper |
Instructions:
1. Cook ground beef and add pizza sauce after the meat is fully cooked. 2. Cook noodles and then set them on foil to dry. 3. Heat oven 350°F 4. In a large bowl, add together ricotta cheese, 1 1/2 cups mozzarella, parmesan cheese, eggs, salt, pepper an parsley. 5. Spread sauce and meat mixture on the bottom of a 10x13 pan. Arrange noodles longways and slightly overlapping. Spread 1/3 of the cheese mixture over noddles. Then 1/3 meat sauce. *Repeat layers twice* Then top with any remaining sauce and then the remaining mozzarella cheese. 6.Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and then bake for 10 more minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes are taking out of the oven, and then serve. Enjoy! |
